How to Apply for a School Choice
 
Before you get started:
A Broward County Public School student identification number (06XXXXXXXX) is required. If needed, you may go to any
school to have a student number created. A separate application is needed for each of the school choice application
categories (magnet programs, Nova schools, school reassignments and McKay).
 
Over the summer, Phase II is divided into multiple application periods, to provide families with quicker notifications
regarding the status of their child's application.
 
To Apply:
1. Enter the required information below and click "Start a New Application".
2. Save the confirmation page and/or email at the end of the application for your records.
3. Provide any required documentation before the application deadline.
4. To change an existing application before the application deadline, go to Check Your Status website.
